UPC (Universal Payment Connector) DIRECT for Authorize.Net ARB gives you the freedom and flexibility to accept recurring payments without the need of a bulky shopping cart system. Our product was created from the ground up to easily run in the most restrictive shared and dedicated web hosting environments. The UPC DIRECT product works by attempting to make a secure SSL Version 3 connection from your web site to the Authorize.Net Gateway. Once this secure connection is successfully negotiated, the product sends all transaction request data (subscription information, billing information, shipping information, product descriptions, total dollar amount, Credit Card or eCheck information etc . . .) to the Authorize.Net Gateway for settlement. If the transaction is approved or declined, the product will display the appropriate response page template. All templates are 100% customizable with any web editor of choice. You may also perform additional actions after the order is processed such as inserting order data into a database, sending a custom email, or calling a third party script after an order is approved or declined. Application Best Practices. The product does not store credit
card information or sensitive Authorize.Net account information. The product
requires your Authorize.Net api login id and transaction key only. If
your api login id and transaction key are ever compromised the assailant
will not have access to log into your Authorize.Net account. Our software
attempts to limit these types of threats by storing your api login id
and transaction key inside a configuration file that can be optionally
moved outside your web root directory.
